In 2018 I composed the soundtrack for long time collaborator Tim Mielants’s first feature film Patrick, which was released in 2019 . Apart from indulging my love for Wagnerian melodies on one of my favorite instruments, the tragic-heroic french horn, I dived deep into this story of loss and acceptance, exploring new textures and trying to capture what is not shown or spoken. Patrick lives with his parents on a naturist campsite. When his father dies he finds himself in charge of the campsite, however Patrick has other things on his mind. He has lost his favourite hammer.
